Smart Sums is an addition flashcard set that gives students two kinds of practice: strategy practice to understand facts and retrieval practice to recall answers quickly. Retrieval practice means saying the answer from memory without counting. Each card shows a single digit addition fact with sums to 10, a simple ten frame or grouping picture, and a short rhyme that cues strategy.
