When I first started using Tang Math Games in my classroom, I thought they’d be a fun supplement for math centers. I didn’t realize they’d completely transform how my students think about numbers.
Within a week, I noticed a shift kids who used to groan at the word math practice were begging to play again. Kakooma became our favorite warm-up, and Great Times turned multiplication review into a full-on competition. I’ve used the games in small groups, during indoor recess, and even as bell-ringer activities.
I found every game builds real fluency. My struggling learners gain confidence, my advanced kids stay challenged, and everyone feels successful. You can see the lightbulb moments happening.
We’ve turned Fridays into “Tang Math Games Day,” and even my most reluctant students can’t wait to rotate through each table. The laughter, teamwork, and engagement speak for themselves. Math time has never been this fun.
